Packers Send John Martinkovic to Giants for Pick ??

Sept. 19, 1957 – Pass-rushing specialist John Martinkovic is traded to the Giants for a third-round draft choice. The defensive end, a three-time Pro Bowler (1954-56), was acquired in September 1951 from the Redskins. The Packers use the draft choice they receive for Martinkovic to select Ray Nitschke 36th overall in the 1958 draft.
