Packers Outlast Colts in First Midwest Shrine Game

Sept. 10, 1950 – The Packers shade the Baltimore Colts 16-14 in the first annual Midwest Shrine Game at State Fair Park in Milwaukee. The preseason game, the last in Gene Ronzani’s first year as head coach, leaves the Packers with a 3-1 record. Ted Fritsch’s short field goal late in the game provides the winning margin.
