Starr Says Packers will Try to Sign Clark ??

Feb. 9, 1982 – Packers Coach Bart Starr said the team will make a concerted effort to sign Bruce Clark, the team’s No. 1 draft choice in 1980, after Clark’s contract with the Toronto Argonauts expires on March 1. Clark, selected fourth overall, never plays for the Packers. Instead, he’s traded to the Saints for a draft choice that Green Bay uses to select defensive back Tim Lewis in 1983.
