Dec. 10, 1939 – Green Bay becomes the first team to register a shutout in an NFL playoff game, blanking the New York Giants 27-0 at State Fair Park in Milwaukee. Arnie Herber and Cecil Isbell each toss a TD pass and Ed Jankowski scores on the ground. The Packers limit New York to 164 yards and intercept six Giants’ passes.
