Packers Shut Out Bears, Wrap Up Championship ??

Dec. 8, 1929 – Green Bay closes its season with a 25-0 trouncing of the Chicago Bears and wraps up its first NFL championship in the process. Carl Lidberg and Verne Lewellen each rush for a touchdown, and Lewellen and Red Dunn each pass for a score. Earlier in the season, the Packers disposed of the Bears 23-0 and 14-0 to make 1929 the only year in which the team defeated Chicago three times.
