Oct. 9, 1984 – Receiver James Lofton says the rumor that the Packers will trade fellow receiver John Jefferson to Dallas for quarterback Danny White is false. “Every year, we hear rumors about trades,” Lofton says. “Last year… someone interviewed me about the trade of [Rich] Campbell. Being the media guy I am, I smiled and said I hope it’s a good trade for both teams.”
