Packers Release Ted Fritsch ??

Sept. 25, 1951 – Gene Ronzani, who orchestrated a major roster upheaval in his first year as Packers coach, strikes again in his second season by releasing Ted Fritsch, the second leading scorer in team history (380 points). Fritsch’s exit comes just five days before the season opener with the Bears. In nine seasons with Green Bay, Fritsch accumulated 2,200 yards rushing.
