Sept. 23, 1962 – Jim Taylor’s running and Green Bay’s defense add up to a 17-0 blanking of the St. Louis Cardinals in Milwaukee. The Packers’ bruising fullback gains 122 yards, nearly as many yards as the entire Cardinals team (131) combined. Hank Gremminger and Jesse Whittenton each intercept Sam Etcheverry once and the quarterback is sacked four times.
