Packers Third Kicker Sends Team Past Cardinals ??

Sept. 13, 1936 – Ernie Smith, the Packers starting left tackle, boots a 23-yard field goal in the fourth quarter to give Green Bay a 10-7 win over the Chicago Cardinals at City Stadium. For Smith, it’s the second field goal of his pro career. Smith is called upon after Clarke Hinkle misses a short field goal in the second quarter and Ade Schwammel has two tries blocked.
