Packers Send Howie Ferguson to Steelers ??

July 28, 1959 – Howie Ferguson, second only to Tobin Rote in rushing for the Packers during the 1950s, is traded to the Steelers for a future draft choice. Ferguson peaked in 1955 when he led the team in rushing with 859 yards. In the three years that followed, Ferguson’s combined output (851 rushing yards) couldn’t match what he had done in his prime.
