Packers Select USC’s Al Carmichael in First Round ??

Jan. 22, 1953 – The Packers select Al Carmichael in the first round of the college draft. In addition to Carmichael, Green Bay lands defensive tackle Bill Forester (third round) and center Jim Ringo (seventh). Carmichael turns into one of the great kick returners in Packers history, leading the team in number of kickoffs returned five times (1953-54, 1956-58) and in number of punts returned four times (1953, 1956-58).
