MacArthur Lane Has Hand Surgery ??

Jan. 17, 1973 – MacArthur Lane undergoes a three-and-a-half-hour operation on his right hand at a San Francisco hospital. The Packers running back had been suffering from “Dupuytren’s contracture.” The Milwaukee Sentinel reports that the “condition pulls the fingers progressively closed and in advanced cases a patient is unable to open the hand.” Lane makes a full recovery and returns to lead the Packers in receptions in 1973.
